We're Still Here!
I know, I know - we've been MIA. Have you missed us?
I've been dealing with so many changes and other misc life stuff - I really haven't had anything to say. Or at least, I haven’t had the time to say it.
As you all might remember, I started Weight Watchers a few weeks back. It's been going really good! I'm down 6 pounds total. My next weigh in will be either Wednesday (my birthday!) or Thursday. I'm thinking Wednesday during lunch so that going out to dinner that night won't affect my weigh in!
This past weekend my Dad and the crime-against-nature otherwise known as my step-monster came to visit. Overall it wasn’t a horrible visit. She managed to be semi-tolerable and only made my cry once. But, let me tell you, there was a lot of dark-beer drinking! I’ve used up almost all my “extra” weekly points. I’m still on plan though – but beer really stays with me L I’m up 2 pounds this week (on my scale). I know it’s the beer - I’ve just got to wait for the bloat to go away (patience is definitely not among my many virtues).
In exciting other news, I got the brand-spanking-new Jillian Michaels’’ dvd!!! It’s called “Ripped In 30” and I’m banking on it living up to its title! It’s a lot like the most holy and adored “30 Day Shred” (which you know we love around these parts!). I did it on Saturday and let me tell you, I’m still sore! I was supposed to get up and do it this morning, but didn’t get up in time. So, tonight it is! FGS should be getting her copy tomorrow and we will be doing it for a straight 30 days (with 1 rest day a week, natch).
This is my second week at my new job. I’m still doing training, but should be doing actual “work” tomorrow. Just another thing to stress about! The goal is to NOT eat my way through the stress!
Another stressor – today is my baby boy’s 6th birthday! And you know what that means? Birthday cake and ice cream! Ah!!! It will be okay though – I can workout and get extra points and just have a small piece.
